City of Greater Geelong Community Event Workshops

In a series of workshops, I shared my decades of event expertise to give community event organisers the skills and confidence to plan their best events. Hosted by the City of Greater Geelong, these event training workshops aim to equip event organisers with the knowledge and skills they need to deliver safe and successful events.

In a two-part presentation, I explained the guiding principles for best practice event management. I provided an overview of the key considerations for event planning and how to use event templates to minimise stress on event day. I also walked though the steps to use your risk assessment, how to plan for the unexpected and unplanned on event day, and how to fast-track the risk planning process so it gets easier each time.
